day tripper. Inner Harbor & Aquarium Ⅱ

Afternoon adventure South of Pennsylvania. This time (again) Baltimore “Inner Harbor
including the National Aquarium.

Baltimore Inner Harbor has been a favorite retreat of mine for decades. In the mid nineties I would travel to find, then esoteric books and music, Today it is clean family friendly area to visit while the vibrant natives of Baltimore live their lives, joggers, bikers, businessmen, regular folks. plenty of art museums, good restaurants and of course waterways.

Work Ethic

One more from Gary Larson (the Far side)

work-ethic-farside.jpg

I assert myself with a strong ethic and I enjoy doing things. I’d like to think that happiness can be productivity, where ever or when ever you are working.
Anyway, I wanted to pass on this funny illustration from the Farside. by Gary Larson.

Happy Friday!

Live Camera Stream oF a Bald Eagles Nest

The Bald Eagle is making a big comeback from being endangered.
Recently I posted about viewing many Bald Eagles and other birds of pray near the Conowingo Damn in Maryland.   I was only able photograph an eagles nest (post here).
A friend of family recently sent me an E-mail of the a popular web streaming site (I do not know much about the site)  http://www.ustream.tv. the
Embedded from that site below is the live video stream (requires flash) of an Bald Eagles Nest. I view regularly over the course of a day to see the two adult Bald Eagles and three chicks. I think its pretty remarkable.

You can see the live camera stream of the Eagle Nest on the Full  Page of this Post.. If not already visible.
( I split this post  into pages so it loads in a browser faster.)…

On Spotting a Bald Eagles Nest

This weekend saw me and others heading south out of Pennsylvania into Maryland to spot bald eagles.   The Bald Eagles along with turkey vultures and other birds of prey  scan the Conowingo Dam region.   I was told a rumor that the eagles like to hunt the river shad that congregate near the dam but I have not yet been able to confirm that.   A good pair of binoculars can reveal as many as sixty or more Eagles at any given time.   Unfortunately my cheap camera was not as good as a pair of telescope lenses.   I couldn’t get a good picture of the birds (YET)… but I did get a couple others including this Eagles nest.

A Photographer with a real camera (and a telescopic lens)showed me his great shot of the Bald Eagle looming nearby, I could only get a close up of this Eagles nest, with my miserable  camera.:

None the less,  the experience was thrilling, especially being so close to a nest.
On the way back home,   I took a photo of historic  Robert Fulton house, located south of Quarryville  Pa on the “Robert Fulton Hightway” or 222 South.

My EQ Emotional Quotient

Your EQ is 140

You are remarkable when it comes to relating with others.
Only the biggest losers get under your skin. You are warm and open. Even when life gets you down,
you’re unafraid of the world and its challenges.
You are comfortable with who you are. And you accept
your Weaknesses – as well as the weaknesses of others.

While you are quite stable, you don’t respond perfectly to every bad situation that comes up.

But you have enough emotional intelligence to know when you need a course correction.
