Anger rather than Sad

from the Book of Life

  • Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment

Common tenants of Anxiety―Depression (disorder group GAD)PDF

What is Disorder?

  • Disorders such as Bipolar disorder, Personality Disorders. or Anxiety Disorders can only be “Diagnosed” by healthcare―professionals or psychologists.
  • One maybe diagnosed with 6 disorders or 1 disorder – this does not mean one is anymore “screwed up” than the other.
  • Disorder is categorized for the purposes of treatment & management between a client, therapist & healthcare―providers.
  • There are legal and professional standards that healthcare―providers in mental-physical health must abide by – that’s what the literature is about: DSM4 DSM5

Gestalt therapy perspective

  • Self awareness not why but:
  • how and when? do ” I feel angry and sad “.
  • Moral- am I judging myself for feeling angry? sad? or tired?
  • How and When do I judge myself.. others environment.
  • Ambivalence: do i feel “conflicting” sensations? ↓Examples:↓
  • thrilled but angry and anxious
  • sad but tuned_in
  • relaxed.. but tight in the legs or chest

contact―boundary memoirs

At a good time (when sad happy or angry etc.)
can I observe between “me” and “not―me” :

  • projection — eg. expressing feeling in drawing or painting ; blaming someone or somthing)
  • Deflection — avoiding both good or bad feeling for another time)
  • confluence — losing sense of self to the outside world, or defending in reaction
  • retroflection — turning ones desires for others (especially with anger) back and substituding ones self) i.e. self blame and self harm
  • Introjection — absorbents in the interactions between “me” and “not―me” without processing (metabolizing)
Anger is part of depression. Anger is part of all of us in daily life.
the good choices we make are in
how to manage are emotions, sensations and Affects so they are not regular intrusions or regularly destructive.
This Management.
This is Anger. This is Depression.

Zac Browser for Autistic children and the future

Those who view and write Blogs and Web sites know that the Internet is one of the worlds greatest places for education  and resource.
They (We) also know that the Internet can be a dangerous place, especially for Children.

An  intriguing new Browser is popping up called the ZAC Browser.

The Zac Browser was originally Pioneered by a developer who’s grandson( named Zack) who was diagnosed with
Autism Spectrum Disorder
at the age of 3.
The developer designed a primitive version in his Home after seeing his Zack (the Grandson) struggle to use a computer (Wiki).

The Zac Browsers purpose  is to be an easy to use browser interface specially design for an Special Needs Children to interact with it.
The Browser  virtually takes over the computer and only restricted content from the web to the home computer.

a tutorial posted on youtube by one2threeish

The Zac Browser is relatively new and I could not find a lot of documentation yet.
New content is added regularly to Zac and the product is free.
a couple issues:

  • How much exposure children should have to a computer has been debated for a long time.
  • Even a  definition of Autism seems still in a primitive stage.
  • NO browser or Software can be completely 100% safe.

With that said, Zac shows enormous creativity and potential for the future, as well as usefulness now.

(“screen shots” of zac were taken with my Camera)

The Zac Browser started as someones innovative solution in his home, so that others may have a solution and powerful tool in their home…using two of our best resources the computer and the Internet.

World Wide Telescope Pictures

I grew up with a love of astronomy. I had often visited the planetarium at the North Museum near where I grew up.
My parents bought me a plastic “planetarium ” with a 70 watt bulb as to light up my room with the stars, when I was a kid.

Recently, I was discouraged with my attempt to
photograph the lunar Eclipse Last year.

(See the bad photo to the right)

Fortunately I have found an easier way to view pictures of the heavens.

The Microsoft Research World Wide Telescope

this is really cool astronomy Browser and it is educational, this is the kind of software that makes me feel like a kid again.
The video from below is from TED

some more screenshots of the “Microsoft Research World Wide Telescope browser:

The World wide Telescope is incredibly addictive for science geeks like me. Its an open source product (that means its free software as long as you follow the T&S)

one can surf the universe without leaving the office or home!
